The Y Line racquets utilize a unique design based on a Dual Structure construction. This exclusive construction connects the yoke and the head in the racquet's key zones. Both elements of the racquet are linked by oversized arms, the Side Drivers, specifically engineered to optimize power (thanks to the extended yoke that delivers maximum energy from the base of the throat to the middle of the head) and precision (due to the side connection between yoke and head at 3:00 and 9:00 for more stability at ball impact).

Babolat Y Series racquets also make use of Bi-Material Construction, in which two complementary graphite structures located in key areas of the racquet enhance performance. Crystal Graphite in the head of the frame adds crystalline particles to the graphite structure for more resistance to torque at impact for ultimate precision. A High Modulus Graphite yoke possesses stiffness twice that of standard graphite for enhanced power.
