Warehouse Assistant
Position Type: Fixed-Term Contract
Duration: 3 Months (July, August, September & early October)
Hours: 08:00 – 17:00 (1-hour lunch break). Part-time (5 or 6 hours per day) may also be considered
Location: Unit 10 Wessex Road, Bourne End
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Assistant to join our team during our busy summer period. If you have warehouse experience, a great attitude, and enjoy working as part of a team, we’d love to hear from you.
PURPOSE
To support the efficient day-to-day running of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, moving and dispatching stock to ensure smooth operations and excellent service for our customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Goods Inwards: Receive, inspect, and accurately log incoming shipments.
· Inventory Control: Conduct regular stock takes and cycle counts.
· Order Picking: Select and pack items for dispatch or internal departments.
· Data Entry: Update inventory management systems with accurate stock information.
· Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
· Health & Safety: Follow all safety guidelines and reporting procedures.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience: Previous warehouse, stock control, or stores experience required.
· Physical Fitness: Capability to lift, move, and handle heavy items daily.
· IT Literacy: Basic computer skills and confidence using inventory databases.
· Licence: Clean driving licence would be preferred
· Attention to Detail: Precision in counting, tracking, and labelling goods.
· Time Management: Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
