ECOMMERCE PRODUCT DATA ADMINISTRATOR
Job Title: Ecommerce Product Data Administrator
Location: Bourne End
Working hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week Mon-Fri
Salary: £28K plus, depending on experience
Overview
At Hawkinsport, a dynamic and well-respected sports and school wear business with nearly 60 years of heritage, we’re passionate about delivering excellence. We’re looking for a highly organised, detail-orientated team player to join us as our new Ecommerce Product Data Administrator.
In this position, you will oversee the daily management of website listings for the Hawkinsport B2C site and B2B portals, ensuring our product information is accurate, complete and presented consistently across our ecommerce platforms.
This is a full-time office-based role in Bourne End.
We’re looking for someone who:
• Enjoys working with detailed information and spotting inaccuracies.
• Is confident communicating with suppliers and colleagues to obtain missing information.
• Takes pride in producing accurate work.
• Is highly organised and able to follow processes consistently.
• Is comfortable working in an office-based team environment.
• Is able to commute reliably to Bourne End five days per week.
Responsibilities:
• Create listings for the website from start to finish using Cin7 Core, our inventory management system, combined with Shopify.
• Create and maintain accurate product records, descriptions, specifications, pricing, images and categorisation across Shopify and Cin7.
• Edit, upload and check product images.
• Request barcodes, specifications and imagery from suppliers.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, production, purchasing and retail to ensure content aligns with business strategy and user needs.
• Cross-check online listings against physical products in store.
• Maintain website functionality by working with our agency to address technical issues and content display problems.
• Manage upload schedule, meeting deadlines efficiently.
Experience
Essential:
• Minimum 1 year experience with Shopify/WooCommerce or similar platforms
• Competent in Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Desired:
• Experience in content management or a related field.
• Experience with basic SEO principles.
• Experience with Cin7 Core or similar inventory management system
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• An ability to see problems and recommend solutions proactively.
