Continuing the legacy of my father, Freddie Hawkins, who founded Hawkinsport in 1967, I’m proud to help lead the business today and continue delivering quality service for our customers. A lifelong sports lover, marathon and ultra-marathon runner, and former rugby and cricket player, you’ll now usually find me on a touchline, golf course, padel court, or ski slope — always chasing the next sporting challenge.

Liz

After a number of years in the corporate sector, I joined Hawkinsport, initially managing schoolwear accounts alongside my father-in-law, Freddie, and have enjoyed being part of the company’s growth and evolution. Outside of work, I love skiing, hosting friends and family, and walking our dog, Jessie. In 2012, I completed the 192-mile Coast-to-Coast walk from St Bees to Robin Hood’s Bay, and enjoy watching rugby from the touchline or the sofa.

Martin

I’ve been part of Hawkinsport for over 40 years, and as Retail Director I’ve led our shop floor team with a real passion for people and delivering outstanding customer service. Outside of work, I enjoy a wide range of sports including tennis, badminton, and squash, and more recently padel and pickleball. I also make time for golf and have proudly played off single figures for the last 20 years.

Jo

A lifelong sports lover, my six years at Hawkinsport have been the perfect fit for me. As Customer Services & Operations Manager, I lead a brilliant team focused on delivering outstanding support. I’ve been playing hockey since age 12 and remain heavily involved with Marlow Hockey Club, where you’ll find me cheering on my daughter or son-in-law. When I’m not at the hockey, I’m out walking my dog Max.

Nicola

I have worked in Customer Services at Hawkinsport for seven years, plus a brief stint with the embroidery team back in 2014. I challenge myself to walk 50miles a month with Lucy, our dog, along with joining our team CrossFit sessions. Outside of work, my passions include baking, painting, reading historical fiction and all things crafty.

Penny

I’ve worked part-time at Hawkinsport for over 14 years, covering the shop, office,and Customer Services. I’m a regular at the gym, a hockey fan, and love walkingmy dogs. Recently, I’ve taken up crochet and enjoy exploring plant-based cooking and nutrition. I’m also proud to be part of the Hawkinsport CrossFit training team.

Glynn

I’ve been riding motorcycles for years and grew up racing off-road, so a bit of adventure is in my blood. I joined Hawkinsport in May as Store Manager and am excited to be settling in with the team and meeting our fantastic customers. Outside work, I love trail walking, swimming, and cheering on my favourite sport, cricket.

Vicki

I joined Hawkinsport in 2019, starting in Production before moving into Customer Service, and in 2023 I stepped up as Assistant Store Manager. I swam competitively as a youngster and became a Jazzercise instructor in 2006,teaching all over Buckinghamshire. These days I’m a proud (and glamorous!)granny, love a good holiday, and never miss a Sunday cream tea with my husband at a local garden centre.

Karen

I’ve been at Hawkinsport for almost 10 years, mainly on the shop floor, while also helping out in Customer Services. I’m currently learning to string rackets, which has been a lot of fun! Outside work, I play club tennis and am thrilled to be back on court following a hip replacement last year and I’m even thinking of trying Pickleball next. I also stay active at the gym and in the pool, and love going to the cinema and theatre.

Connor

I’ve played rugby for 15 years at Maidenhead and was recently awarded Most Improved Colts Player. I’m also Hawkinsport’s cricket bat guru, having visited two of our bat makers to learn more about the craft. I'm now a full time team member, having worked part time while studying. Outside of work, I love playing a variety of sports, including rugby, cricket, football, American football, and basketball.

Sarah

I’m the Hawkinsport boomerang — having come back to the company three times over the last 20 years. I may be the least sporty in the team, but I keep fit by walking my dog Buddy and heading to the odd yoga class. I also love joining my family to support Gloucester Rugby Club and watch them play.

Dawn

I’m one of the Sales Assistants at Hawkinsport, helping customers find exactly what they need in our shop. Outside work, I love spending time in the garden, dancing (badly!) in Zumba classes, and experimenting in the kitchen cooking and, of course, eating great food. I also enjoy discovering new recipes and sharing them with friends and family whenever I can.

Mel

I’ve been with Hawkinsport for four years as the school uniform buyer, bringing with me over 25 years of experience in retail buying. I genuinely love what I do, and my passion for shopping and sourcing great products fits perfectly with my role. Buying isn’t just my job - it’s something I truly enjoy.

Jason

I’ve been part of the Hawkinsport team for nearly 18 years, spending around seven of those as Production Manager before moving into my current Account Manager role. Before Hawkinsport, I enjoyed a 21-year career in photography, and I’m a long-suffering QPR and Miami Dolphins supporter, as well as a former (average!) American Football player with the London Ravens and Chiltern Cheetahs.

Lu & the Production Team

Since joining Hawkinsport, I’ve grown into my role by asking questions and getting stuck in to ensure everything is done to a high standard. I’m Venezuelan with Italian roots and I've lived in England for eight years, enjoying the changing seasons and landscapes. I stay active with tennis, the gym, yoga, and company CrossFit sessions. As Production Manager, I’m proud to work with a brilliant all‑female team whose dedication and attention to detail help deliver quality every day.

Jonny

With a strong passion for technology, I look after the digital side of Hawkinsport, making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes and our customers enjoy the best possible online experience. Outside of work, I’m very tech-focused and love IT, movies, and games; but I also make time to work out daily and walk my dog, Samba.

Ali

I’ve been Hawkinsport’s Marketing Manager for nearly two years. When I’m not creating content or developing and delivering campaigns, you’ll find me working up a sweat at the gym or with the Hawkinsport CrossFit team, dancing - either at my weekly tap classes or out watching a live band, or indulging my creative side painting faces.

Max

I’m Max, the Customer Services dog. I love coming to work, especially when I can explore the stock aisles in search of hidden tennis balls. I’m very loyal to my team and like to keep a watchful eye on things - always say hello so I know you're friend not foe! Outside of work my favourite walks are in the woods where I can run, chase and explore.
